Khaitan & Co played a superb weekend of cricket to seize the top prize at the annual ELP Masters Cricket Cup tournament, held at the end of January.
A total of 16 firms participated in the tournament, held at the Police Gymkhana in Mumbai.
The teams were divided into groups of four with the winning team in each group moving forward to compete for the trophy. Khaitan & Co won all its league matches, defeating the other teams in its group – Bharucha & Partners, Nishith Desai Associates and AZB & Partners. In the semi-final, Khaitan took an easy victory against Phoenix Legal scoring 110 runs – the highest of the tournament – and winning the match by 72 runs. Khaitan & Co’s Ashraya Rao was named man of the match.
