Randi Ikhlas Sardoni, vice president I of the Indonesian Corporate Counsel Association (ICCA), and Amrie Hakim, the ICCA’s head of media, events and external communications, recently visited the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) secretariat. Bryan Yeo, executive director at the SCCA, welcomed them personally.
The visit allowed both sides to build on their previous online discussions. Sardoni brought up the ICCA’s goal to learn from the SCCA, which has around 800 members, in contrast to the ICCA’s nearly 400. The focus was on expanding membership and improving value by sharing best practices and exploring co-operation.
Yeo talked about the SCCA’s success in hosting various functions, including the Asia-Pacific Legal Congress, the Legal Counsel Summit and an annual awards event. As a reciprocal gesture, the ICCA invited the SCCA to its Indonesian In-House Counsel Summit, organised with Hukumonline.
Sardoni explained in a discussion with Hukumonline that the ICCA aims to strengthen co-operation internally and externally, enhancing its events and aligning with standards set by the SCCA’s Competency Framework.
Sardoni expressed his gratitude to the SCCA, saying, “I am thankful for Bryan Yeo, executive director of the SCCA, and Daniel Choo, co-president of the SCCA, for supporting the new board of the ICCA to foster a great collaboration together.
“The exchange with the SCCA opens doors to share best practices, enhance professional development opportunities, and strengthen ties between legal professionals in Indonesia and Singapore.”
