Hylands Law Firm has hired Peng Yong, an expert in customs and trade compliance, as a senior partner based in Beijing.
He has joined the firm’s Beijing and Shanghai branches’ management committees to accelerate its business.
Peng had worked in the General Administration of Customs’ anti-smuggling bureau for 20 years and had been involved in investigative and legal work. Since then, he gained specialist skills in advising clients on customs disputes and in tackling criminal smuggling cases.
Before joining Hylands, Peng was a senior partner at Jincheng Tongda & Neal. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations and large Chinese private enterprises.
Aside from Peng, Hylands recently hired real estate and construction veteran Sarah Gao as a partner in Beijing.
