Han Kun Law Offices has hired Joanna Wang, former senior vice president in the legal and compliance department of Blackstone, to join its Hong Kong office.
Wang has more than a decade of legal experience in investment funds and financial services. Before working for Blackstone, she worked at Morrison & Foerster and Shearman & Sterling (now A&O Shearman) as an attorney in their Hong Kong offices.
The dually qualified lawyer in New York and China has represented numerous international and regional fund managers in structuring and establishing USD and RMB funds. Wang has also led dozens of semi-liquid funds, which are targeted at high-net-worth investors.
Additionally, Wang provides legal services on fund management and operations, including governance, compliance and distribution.
