Deacons has further expanded its corporate finance team this year with the recruitment of partner Michael Sinn, who has 15 years of experience in banking and finance, to its Hong Kong headquarters.
Sinn was previously a partner at Reed Smith where he advised lenders and borrowers on various loan transactions including real estate, M&A and cross-border finance. One of the more notable deals he led last year, as a counsel, was state-owned metal trading giant China Minmetals’ HKD2.6 billion club loan facility.
China Business Law Journal has granted Sinn the A-List 2024-2025: Growth Drivers award recently.
He is the second former Reed Smith lawyer to join Deacons this year. In January, the firm welcomed Crystal Li, another partner who specialises in banking and finance.
