Australia’s Corrs Chambers Westgarth has hired Bree Miechel as a partner in Sydney to bolster the firm’s projects and construction capabilities.
Miechel joins from Ashurst, where she was a partner for five years. Prior to that, she spent three years as a projects and construction partner at Reed Smith. She also served as the co-chair of the energy and utilities business group for four years at British Chamber of Commerce Singapore.
She advises on the full project lifecycle, including concessions and project agreements, engineering, procurement and construction, operations and maintenance, investment agreements, offtake and revenue arrangements, supply agreements and other commercial contracts.
In Miechel’s previous roles, she also advised sponsors, procuring authorities, lenders, contractors, vendors and investors on the commercial contracting aspects of major energy and infrastructure projects.
