Vishnu Dutt U, Kaushik Moitra, Sneha Jaisingh and Swathi Girimaji have been appointed as equity partners at Bharucha & Partners.

Dutt, a founding member of Bharucha & Partners since 2008, now leads the equity capital markets practice. Having worked closely with senior partner Alka Bharucha, he has worked on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, IPOs and qualified institutional placements.
Moitra, who has been working out of the New Delhi office since 2017, heads the regulatory, IP and TMT practices. Working closely with Justin Bharucha, he has played a crucial role in expanding the firm’s expertise in policy advisory, regulatory compliance, and media and technology transactions, including licensing, distribution and revenue-sharing agreements.
Jaisingh, who began her career at the firm as an intern, now leads the disputes practice. Having also been mentored by Bharucha, she has a high-value commercial litigation and arbitration practice, representing clients before the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the Securities Appellate Tribunal, various high courts and the Supreme Court of India.
Girimaji, who worked under the aegis of Alka Bharucha, is based at the firm’s Bengaluru office and leads the venture capital and growth stage of the investments practice. She has been instrumental in mergers and acquisitions and venture capital investments, working alongside Vandana Pai to strengthen the firm’s investment funds practice, while establishing a strong presence in Bengaluru.
