Baker McKenzie Vietnam advised the mandated lead arrangers, underwriters and bookrunners on the USD488 million unsecured syndicated loan to Techcom Securities Joint Stock Company (TCBS), making it the largest of its kind for a securities company in the country.

Baker McKenzie Vietnam managing partner Oanh Nguyen, special counsel Thai Ninh Ngo and Singapore-based principal Emmanuel Hadjidakis led the team.

The mandated lead arrangers, underwriters and bookrunners comprised several international financial institutions, including Taiwan’s Cathay United Bank, CTBC Bank, and Taipei Fubon Commercial Bank, along with Japan’s Mizuho Bank and Germany’s Landesbank Baden-Württemberg.

The facility was funded by 26 institutions across multiple regions, including China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Malaysia and Taiwan.

The USD488 million unsecured syndicated loan is expected to bolster TCBS’ margin lending capacity and support its investment and market making activities.
