Anderson Mori & Tomotsune welcomes of counsel Yasumasa Nagamine, former justice of the Supreme Court of Japan, to the team expanding the firm’s domestic and international network.
He held senior roles including his tenure as justice of the Supreme Court of Japan in 2021 and director-general of the International Legal Affairs Bureau. He also served as Japan’s ambassador, representing the country in the Netherlands, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
Nagamine has dealt with diplomatic matters, including the promotion and management of important bilateral relations, cross-border negotiations and the settlement of disputes requiring the application of public international law.
