US-headquartered Reed Smith has strengthened its finance capabilities with the recruitment of Evelyn Wang as a global corporate group partner based in Hong Kong.
Wang returns to private practice after a three-year stint in China’s leading financial institution Haitong International Securities Group, where she was a director in the loan capital markets team and had been actively involved in structuring and executing finance deals. Prior to that, the Hong Kong-qualified lawyer was an associate in Kirkland & Ellis.
Wang said in a statement that the firm’s “client-centric approach” and global platform had attracted her to join.
Specialising in debt, acquisition and fund financing, Wang will focus on representing financial institutions, credit funds, corporates and private equity sponsors in their complex cross-border deals.
