
The chief justice of India, DY Chandrachud, has unveiled the foundation stone laid for the Rajiv K. Luthra academic wing at the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru on 22 September 2024.
Prominent legal luminaries attended the event, including attorney general R Venkataramani, Bar Council of India chairman Manan Mishra, Gayatri Luthra, chief trustee of the Rajiv K. Luthra Foundation, and Harry Chawla, managing partner of Luthra and Luthra Law Offices, and Amit Luthra, managing partner of Luthra and Luthra Chartered Accountants.

A grant from the Rajiv K. Luthra Foundation will fund redevelopment of the academic wing, including new and redesigned classrooms and seminar rooms. Two annual gold medals in Rajiv K. Luthra’s memory will also be instituted for meritorious students, along with a five-year lecture series in his honour.
The Luthra family established the Rajiv K. Luthra Foundation in memory of the late Rajiv Krishan Luthra, a prominent lawyer and founder of Luthra and Luthra Law Offices, who died in 2023. The foundation aims to take forward Rajiv K. Luthra’s altruistic vision.
