Jingtian & Gongcheng adds three partners in Shenzhen

Jingtian & Gongcheng’s Shenzhen office has recruited three partners specialising in dispute resolution – John Zhou, Li Li and Tan Yanhua.

Zhou, who has been practising for 15 years, specialises in litigation and arbitration involving the construction, banking and finance sectors. He had advised brokers such as CMB International and Morgan Stanley. The former partner at East & Concord Partners has won China Business Law Journal’s A-list 2023-24: Growth Drivers award for his achievements in dispute resolution.

Li specialises in dispute resolution involving intellectual property, antitrust and competition law. He has long provided regulatory compliance and import-export control advice to China and international companies. Li was a former partner at Guantao Zhongmao Law Firm (now Guantao Law Firm), he previously worked in the legal department of China Resources Group.

Tan, also a former partner at Guantao, has been advising on private equity funds, equity financing and dispute resolution. He provided legal advice on financing matters to startup companies in the high-end manufacturing, new energy and metaverse industries. Tan has also assisted private equity fund clients with fund establishment, investment and liquidation.

Just two months ago, Jingtian & Gongcheng recruited, Liu Ping, another Shenzhen-based partner from Guantao.
