Han Kun Law Offices has brought on Wang Yu, a seasoned capital markets expert, as a partner at its New York office, who will also extend his expertise to Hong Kong as a registered foreign lawyer.
Previously, Wang was a partner at King & Wood Mallesons and practised at Morrison & Foerster and Simpson Thacher.
With nearly 20 years’ experience, Wang is adept at handling US capital markets issues, including IPOs, de-SPACs, follow-on offerings, post-IPO private investments and M&A transactions.
This move aligns with Han Kun’s strategy of bolstering its global presence, as seen in the recent recruitment of a team led by Leong Chuo Ming from Withers KhattarWong for its Singapore office and the addition of Bonnie Yung from Mayer Brown and Allen Zhang from Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman) to its Hong Kong branch earlier this year.
