Global Law Office (GLO) has hired four new partners Leon Li, Alan Li, Chen Yuan and Alice Wang who have joined the Chengdu, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing offices respectively, further enhancing the firm’s comprehensive capabilities across regions and practice areas.
Among the fresh faces is Leon Li, who has the most experience having been in practice for 20 years. Before joining GLO’s Chengdu branch, he worked as the China legal head of Hyster-Yale Group – a lift truck design and manufacturing company, advising on compliance and various corporate matters. Prior to working in-house, he practised at Cleary Gottlieb, JunHe and DeHeng Law Offices.
GLO added Alan Li, a former partner at Grandall Law Firm and Zhong Lun Law Firm, to the Shanghai outfit. He brings 14 years of experience in corporate compliance and governance, and commercial dispute resolution. He is concurrently a member of the Corporate Compliance Committee of the Shanghai Lawyers Association.
Chen, a capital markets specialist, has joined the Shenzhen branch. Previously a partner at Dacheng Law Offices, she is skilled in M&A, overseas investment and financing matters. She is particularly adept at advising clients in the film and television, technology and internet sectors.
Wang, formerly a partner at PacGate Law Group, has joined GLO’s Beijing office. She has represented large state-owned enterprises, listed and tech companies in litigations and arbitrations, and counselled on bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
