Ezetap Mobile Solutions, a Bangalore-based company, has received private equity funding from a group of Silicon Valley investors, including former Facebook executive Chamath Palihapitiya, Peter Thiel of PayPal, Nicolas Berggruen of Berggruen Holdings and David Sacks of Microsoft.

The company is also receiving an investment from its initial investor, AngelPrime.

Ezetap, which processes card payments on mobile phones, will receive US$3.5 million in funding. The company offers an end-to-end service that includes a mobile card-reader, a configurable mobile application and a flexible platform that allows Ezetap or a third party to build and turn on value-added services that are integrated with its core payment service.
