DaHui Lawyers has hired Zhang Dongjing, the former director of Zhongshan Law Firm, which is one of the biggest Wuhan-headquartered firms with more than 200 lawyers.
Zhang joins DaHui’s Wuhan office as a partner and executive director, bringing along her team of four.
With more than 20 years of experience, Zhang specialises in construction engineering, real estate, dispute resolution, and investment and financing. She has been involved in urban renewal and shanty town development projects, providing legal services to the municipal-level communist party, government, state-owned enterprises, and publicly listed companies.
Zhang currently serves as the vice president of the Hubei Provincial Lawyers Association, and a civil and administrative specialist for the Supreme People’s Procuratorate.
DaHui set up its Wuhan office last October and appointed Edward Lu as the office managing partner, leading a team of around 50 lawyers.
The firm described Wuhan as the “Chicago of China”, highlighting its key industries such as semiconductors, biotechnology, new energy, optics and healthcare.
