The team provides support for the company¡¯s energy investment, M&A, securitisation and listing, compliance management, foreign-related litigation and other work across multiple jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, China and Peru.

From 2019 to 2024, the team led and completed major projects, including the acquisition of the Luz del Sur project in Peru, the issuance of global depositary receipts (GDRs) by China Yangtze Power Co, as well as the Arrow photovoltaic project and Sapphire wind power project in Peru, with a total transaction value of up to USD6.8 billion. Established in 2014, the Sumitomo Pharma China (SMPC) Legal Team consists of six members, including senior legal experts in charge of corporate legal affairs, intellectual property and other fields. The SMPC Legal Team has demonstrated a high level of professionalism and teamwork in providing legal support to the company¡¯s business.

The SMPC Legal Team has provided a full range of professional services to the company and actively empowered the business in major commercial projects, internal policy and system development, and corporate legal training under Tina Liu¡¯s leadership. Specifically, in 2024, the SMPC Legal Team: fully supported the strategical project of the company in China; assisted the company in promoting the launch of innovative pharmaceutical products; provided compliance support for clinical trials of multiple products in China; strengthened the company¡¯s patent protection programme for all its products in China; and assisted the company in completing a programme for the protection of personal information.

The legal and compliance department at CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive is led by Pan Zhuqing, chief compliance officer and general counsel, director of the legal and compliance department, and director of the department of lawyers.

Additionally, Liu Yiwan, the compliance management manager, is responsible for building comprehensive compliance systems, formulating and maintaining compliance management of CRRC ZELC. He leads a team of 86.

Yuan Danhong, contract management manager, carries out standard contract projects through the headquarters and subsidiaries, leading a team of 30.

Yan Haiyang, the international law manager, provides full life-cycle legal tracking services for no less than 58 projects both domestic and overseas, leading a team of 28.

Last but not least, Lin Zifei and his four-member team resolve litigation and non-litigation disputes, and have handle more than 10 domestic and foreign cases annually via litigation, arbitration and other means.

The Asia Legal Team of Air Products & Chemicals Inc (AP) consists of 12 professionals (including 10 lawyers) located in Shanghai, Seoul, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur. The Asia Legal team provides full legal services to all of AP¡¯s businesses in Asia including industrial gases (on-site, liquid bulk, packaged gas, equipment and services) and clean hydrogen business.

For fiscal year 2024, AP¡¯s global sales totalled USD12.1 billion, of which 27% (about USD3.3 billion) was from Asia. For contract management, proactive risk controls and expert negotiations successfully resolved disputes amicably, preventing losses exceeding tens of millions of renminbi. In anti-bribery and anti-corruption efforts, the team introduced a Code of Business Ethics, established reporting channels and audit mechanisms, embedded compliance reviews in high-risk areas, and conducted targeted training programmes resulting in zero major commercial corruption incidents in 2024.

Huayi Brothers¡¯ legal department provides legal solutions to Huayi Brothers Corporation and its affiliates across mainland China, Hong Kong and the US. The department covers a broard range of sectors within the pan-entertainment industry, including investment and financing, production, advertising and distribution, derivative products, IP licence and corporate governance and compliance.

The team has also actively researched ways to broaden fund investment exit channels, successfully advancing and resolving multiple litigation exits, with a cumulative recovery of RMB257 million (USD35.7 million) through litigation, effectively safeguarding fund rights and interests.
