Singapore’s Sreenivasan Chambers has recruited director Muralli Rajaram and associate director Claire Tan, reinforcing its bench strength to support continued growth.

Sreenivasan Narayanan, the firm’s managing director and a veteran litigator with more than 38 years of experience, highlighted the strategic reason behind the new appointments. “Our philosophy is to put ourselves in our client’s shoes and make available the relevant skill set and experience level,” Narayanan told Asia Business Law Journal.

He added that hiring lawyers at different levels allows the firm to both widen and deepen its bench strength, ensuring effective solutions for clients. However, he emphasised that growth will be kept measured to maintain the firm’s focus and agility.

Rajaram and Tan are rejoining former colleagues Narayanan and counsel Jason Lim from K&L Gates Straits Law (formerly Straits Law which was co-founded by Narayanan).

Rajaram was previously a partner at K&L Gates with experience in banking and insolvency. He will take on a leadership role with a focus on restructuring and insolvency-related matters.

Tan, who was previously a counsel at K&L Gates, will work closely with Narayanan and Rajaram, focusing on appellate and arbitration matters.

Joining the team are counsel Adorabelle Tan, and associates Pei Yee Wong and Xuan Ning Liew.

As Narayanan noted, the firm remains committed to staying “focused and nimble” while delivering the highest standards of legal service to its clients. Since its launch in August 2024, Sreenivasan Chambers has already doubled in size.
