A Dentons team in Chengdu successfully advised Chengdu High-tech Investment Group Co., Ltd. (“the Group”) in issuing the second tranche of senior unsecured bonds of USD 300 million on October 19, 2021, with a coupon rate of 2.70% and a maturity of 5 years. The debt rating is Moody’s Baa3, outlook positive and Fitch’s BBB, outlook stable. The Dentons team advising this transaction is composed of senior partner Zhang Ying, partner Ning Xueling, attorney Huang Luwei, attorney Chen Jiamin, attorney Zhou Mengting, and attorney Liang Jiaqi.
The Group was successfully listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for this bond issuance. This is the second time that the Group has made its presence in the international capital market after its issuance of USD 300 million in foreign bonds in November 2018. International investors actively subscribed for this issuance, and the subscription rate peaked at a rate of nearly six times and set a national record of the lowest interest rate for the issuance of US dollar bonds on a platform with the same rating and maturity in the country.
