CAM, Dua advise on Kwality Animal Feeds’ USD35m sale to IPA

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) and Dua Associates have counselledon the sale of Kwality Animal Feeds to the Indian Poultry Alliance (IPA) for INR3 billion (USD35.2 million).

Dua Associates advised Kwality’s promoters on the sale of 100% of its shares to the IPA, which is part of the Allana Group.

The deal team from Dua Associates comprised partner Prateek Bedi, senior adviser Sunil Malik, principal associate Rahul Goyal and senior associate Rishabh Halwai. The team worked on the drafting, negotiation and finalisation of the transaction documents.

CAM represented the IPA.

After the acquisition, the IPA plans to invest USD23.5 million into Kwality to support expansion of the animal feed supplier. The acquisition provides IPA with access to Kwality’s well-established partnerships with leading food service providers and quick-service restaurants, and is expected to strengthen IPA’s capabilities in poultry and animal nutrition solutions, fostering innovation and enhancing its market position.

Kwality is a well-known brand in the animal feed sector providing nutirion soluions for chickens as well as processing poultry. Allana Group is a global leader in the manufacture and export of various consumer products.
