JSA, TT&A power up IndiGrid’s USD41m Gadag acquisition bid

JSA and TT&A advised on IndiGrid Infrastructure Trust’s INR3.72 billion (USD41.3 million) proposed acquisition of Gadag Transmission from joint owners ReNew Transmission Ventures and KNI India.

JSA advised IndiGrid on the execution of definitive agreements for the transaction. Partners Vishnu Sudarsan, Shashank Vikram Singh and Kartikeya GS supported the core transaction team, with the assistance of senior associates Mehar Vasant, Priyanka Barik and Siddhant Thakar, and associates Ravneet Singh Gill and Vignesh Ravichandran.

TT&A advised KNI India, an existing shareholder in Gadag Transmission, on the planned sale of its 49% shareholding to IndiGrid. Partner Dushyant Bagga led the TT&A team, with support from managing associate Pooja Menon and senior associate Prerna Raturi.

Gadag Transmission is a build-own-operate-maintain interstate transmission system in Karnataka state. Operational since September 2024, the system comprises about 187 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and 1,000 MVA (mega volt-amps) of transformation capacity.
