Introduction
Ralph Voltmer Jr is chair of Covington’s India practice and a partner at the firm’s corporate group. He is also a member of the US-India Business Council’s board of directors. He has been active in India for 25 years, working with companies such as Reliance Industries, Reliance Jio Infocomm, Piramal Enterprises, UPL, Interglobe, SpiceJet, TAFE, Mindtree, Aditya Birla Group, Tata Group, OmniActive Health Technologies, Sterlite Technologies, and Balkrishna Industries. He advises both US and foreign clients in cross-border transactions such as M&A, JVs, strategic alliances, and financings.
Ralph has been named on India Business Law Journal’s “International A-list”, which consists of the world’s top 100 India-focused lawyers in international law firms. He has been ranked in the Chambers Global Guide for Corporate/M&A in India and the US.
Ralph earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center, his MA from University of California Riverside, and his BA from Wheaton College.
