Atindra Nath Basu is a seasoned legal leader with more than 23 years of experience across leading multinationals and Indian conglomerates. As group general counsel and company secretary at Greaves Cotton, he plays a central role in shaping legal, compliance and governance strategy as the organisation transitions from a legacy engineering business to a future-focused clean mobility platform.

With deep expertise in litigation, M&A and corporate structuring, Basu has led numerous strategic transactions, significantly reduced enterprise litigation exposure, and enabled value creation through disciplined legal and governance frameworks. His career spans leadership roles at Cipla, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott and Hindustan Unilever, where he advised on complex regulatory matters, competition law, tax disputes and brand-led business transformations.

He is recognised for his ability to operate at the intersection of law, strategy and business – bringing boardroom judgement, regulatory depth and execution discipline. His experience includes leading large-scale legal integrations such as the GSK-Novartis OTC merger, managing high-stakes disputes across forums, including the FSSAI and CCI, and navigating sensitive engagements involving agencies such as the CBI, DRI and SEBI.

A fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a law graduate from Calcutta University, Basu is a strong proponent of the evolving role of the general counsel as a strategic partner in enterprise growth and governance.

Nishant Kotak is head of legal at DSP Finance, where he leads the legal and governance function for a technology driven non-banking financial company (NBFC) operating at the intersection of digital lending and financial regulation. With more than two decades of experience, Nishant is regarded as a steady and commercially astute adviser on complex financial transactions and regulatory strategy.

At DSP Finance, Nishant works closely with senior leadership to embed legal judgement into business decision-making, ensuring that growth initiatives are anchored in sound governance and regulatory discipline. Shweta Adhikari is a corporate lawyer with more than a decade of experience spanning both in-house and private practice roles. She currently serves as senior legal counsel at Elevation Capital. She has significant experience operating in lean, high-ownership environments and works closely with leadership teams on matters involving strategic risk assessment, governance and commercial decision-making.

In her role at Elevation, Adhikari advises across the fund on the full lifecycle of its investments in portfolio companies. Her responsibilities include advising on investments and exits, transaction structuring, regulatory matters, litigation management and compliance. Her work spans private equity and venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, and pre-IPO and IPO-related advisory.

Adhikari also brings substantial cross-border transaction experience, advising on financings and investments involving companies based in the United States and Singapore.
