Introduction
Zhou Liang is a senior partner at Fides Law Firm and holds a Doctor of Law degree. He serves as director of the Nanjing Lawyers Association’s corporate governance committee, deputy director of the Jiangsu Lawyers Association’s corporate law committee, and a member of the All China Lawyers Association’s corporate law committee. He is also deputy secretary-general of the Jiangsu Bankruptcy Administrators Association and director of the Nanjing Bankruptcy Administrators Association. Zhou has been appointed as a consulting expert for civil and administrative prosecution by the Supreme People’s Procuratorate and has been selected for Jiangsu Province’s first talent pool for corporate, financial, securities, and insurance lawyers.
Zhou has received numerous professional awards and accolades. He has been repeatedly recognised by the Nanjing Lawyers Association as an “Outstanding Corporate Lawyer”, and an “Outstanding Lawyer in Bankruptcy and M&A”. He has also been honoured with the “GRCD Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyer Award” and named “China Dispute Resolution Star of the Year”. With 17 years of dedicated legal practice, Zhou has accumulated extensive experience in corporate and equity disputes, bankruptcy reorganisation, construction and real estate, and financial legal services. He has handled hundreds of complex and high-profile commercial cases, some of which have been covered by China Central Television’s flagship programmes. Many of these cases have been selected as classic cases by the Nanjing Intermediate People’s Court and as “Benchmark Bankruptcy Cases of 2024” by Lexpress. Relevant cases have also received “Exemplary” and “Remarkable” ratings under the LegalOne Merits system.
Zhou has published more than 20 academic papers in core legal journals. He is the author of the 300,000-word monograph Commercial Law Adjustment of New Types of Commercial Transaction Objects, and co-author of the 600,000-word professional book Shareholder’s Magic Weapon: Shareholder Rights Protection and Corporate Dispute Resolution Guide. He has also contributed to the Practical Commentary on Key Articles of the Company Law issued by the All China Lawyers Association.
