Introduction

Zhang Sijing¡¯s primary areas of practice include private equity and venture capital financing, cross-border investment and M&A, and wealth management, with a particular focus on the AI, high-tech and healthcare sectors.

Zhang has represented hundreds of startup companies in equity financing and restructuring transactions. She advises companies from both a business and strategic perspective on expanding into overseas markets, innovating their business models, and implementing global growth strategies, accompanying them throughout their development ¨C from early-stage ventures to unicorn companies and ultimately to successful public listings.

Zhang also advises leading investment institutions, such as Tencent, CICC, Sequoia, CDH Investments, Future Capital, Legend Capital, Tsingyan Capital, NLVC, IDG Capital, GSR and Tiger, on a wide range of equity investments, having handled hundreds of transactions. She has counselled institutions such as CICC and CITIC on the formation and fundraising of multiple RMB- and USD-denominated funds, and has represented investors such as the National Council for Social Security Fund and a US-based hedge fund in their limited partnership roles in various PE funds.

Zhang has extensive experience in cross-border M&A, having completed numerous transactions for listed companies and investment funds. Representative projects include advising Luxshare on acquisitions of multiple domestic and overseas listed companies, representing Meizu in the sale of its controlling interest, advising Tongding Group on its acquisition of UTSI, representing the controlling shareholder of Canvest in a privatisation transaction, and advising CICC, Taikang Life Insurance and other investors on the establishment of funds to participate in the privatisation of overseas listed companies.
