Introduction

Xiao Yuexin specialises in dispute resolution related to trademarks and unfair competition. She is a deputy director of the Beijing Lawyers Association’s trademark law committee, a supervisor for the Beijing Intellectual Property Research Association, and an external mentor at the China University of Political Science and Law and the Beijing University of Technology.

Xiao has won numerous landmark cases on behalf of many well-known clients, among which is the “Mei Yue Li Cheng” case, which was included in the “Supreme People’s Court’s Annual Report on the Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Chinese Courts (2024)”, and the “Bamboo Salt” case, which was recognised as one of the “Top 10 Trademark Administrative Litigation Cases of 2023” by the Beijing High People’s Court. She also represented the Forbidden City in initiating two unfair competition lawsuits against “The Forbidden City Liquor”, a case listed as one of the “Typical Cases on the Protection of Intellectual Property Related to Traditional Chinese Culture” by the Beijing High People’s Court and the “Top 10 IP Judicial Protection Cases in the Cultural and Creative Industry” by the Beijing Dongcheng District People’s Court. The case was also recognised in China Business Law Journal’s “Deals of the Year 2024” and the “Golden Line Awards”.

Xiao has also received widespread recognition from leading legal ranking and evaluation institutions. She was listed among the “Top 15 Intellectual Property Lawyers” (2024) and “China Top Lawyer Rankings 2025 (IP Litigation)” by Legalband, “Asia Pacific-Greater China (Intellectual Property) Lawyers” by The Legal 500, “Top Lawyers of Greater China Region IP Guides” (2025 and 2026) by Chambers, “Top 10 Women in Litigation” (2025) by Dawkins, “Blue Ribbon 15:Female Legal Practitioners North China” and “Top 45 Practice Pioneers (Intellectual Property)” by LegalOne, “Highly Recommended Individual for Litigation” in the China PRC Trademarks Rankings 2025 by WIRP and “50 IP Lawyers Under the Age of 50 in China” (2025) by IPRDaily.
