Sean Ye is a partner at King & Wood Mallesons, specialising in capital markets, corporate investment and financing, M&A, financial institution compliance, and risk disposal. Ye has handled numerous market-focused and innovative projects across a broad range of business sectors. Major projects include the IPOs of CICC, CSC, China Mobile, Midea Group, SF Holding and Biren Tech; the issuance of global depository receipts for HTSC, China Pacific Insurance and China Yangtze Power; the merger of Guolian Securities and Minsheng Securities through a major restructuring; and the risk disposal of Jinzhou Bank, Shengjing Bank and Jutai Rural Bank. He has also served as legal adviser to multiple large corporations.
Ye graduated from China University of Political Science and Law and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, obtaining dual bachelor’s degrees in law and economics as well as an LLM. He is admitted to practise in both the PRC and New York state.
