Introduction

Liu Huanyang has been practising law for nearly 20 years and has a dual background in law and engineering. He graduated from Nanjing University with both a bachelor¡¯s and a master¡¯s degree in law, and also holds a bachelor¡¯s degree in civil engineering.

Liu worked as in-house counsel for more than 11 years at CK Hutchison Holdings (formerly Hutchison Whampoa), a Fortune 500 company founded by Li Ka-shing. During his tenure, he handled legal projects valued at nearly RMB100 billion (USD14.6bn). With years of experience in legal risk management and team leadership, Liu is adept at integrating strict legal controls with flexible business operations. He is particularly recognised for his expertise in real estate and bankruptcy. Members of his team are all graduates of prestigious law schools, possessing solid expertis and working seamlessly together.

Liu has received numerous honours and recognitions for his outstanding professional abilities and extensive experience. These include being recognised as Legalband¡¯s ¡°Client-Preferred Lawyer¡± (2025), Asian Legal Business¡¯ ¡°Yangtze River Delta Client-Preferred Lawyer¡± (2025), and The Legal 500¡¯s ¡°Greater China Ranking ¨C Recommended Lawyer for Real Estate and Construction¡± (2026). Liu is also a member of the Nanjing Lawyers Association¡¯s real estate and property management committee.
