Introduction

Gary Hung joined Chien Yeh Law Offices in 2004 and became partner in charge in 2015. He currently leads a task force focusing on capital markets at Chien Yeh Law Offices. With more than 20 years of practice experience, Hung is distinguished for his expertise in delivering an effective problem-solving approach and dedicated to achieving the clients’ goals in several commercial transactions.

Apart from the above, Hung served in several other professional roles during his career, including as advisory commissioner on the Complaint Review Board for Government Procurement of the Taipei City Government and advisory commissioner on the Law and Regulation Commission of the Taipei City Government. He was also a lecturer in “Workshop for Legal Practices” organised by the Department of Civil Servant Development of the Taipei City Government.

Hung primarily practices in the areas involving both overseas or domestic companies listing in Taiwan (ie, initial public offerings), M&A, cross-border investments, corporate hostile takeovers, and securities exchange laws. From 2011 to 2023, Hung served as the counsel for the issuer or underwriter for more than 50 projects involving listings on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) or the Taipei Exchange (TPEx), including but not limited to Shane Global Holding, Luo Lih-Fen Holding, Ventec International Group, the Shanghai Commercial & Savings Bank, Khgears International, Yonggu Group, World Known MFG (Cayman), FY Group, BTL, and Amax Holding.

With his extensive experience in assisting Taiwanese and foreign enterprises to list on the TWSE and the TPEx, Chien Yeh Law Offices has been prominent in providing a wide range of capital markets services.

It is worth noting that due to Hung’s many achievements in the capital markets practice, Chien Yeh has been recognised as one of the top corporate law firms in Taiwan, and collected several awards from the TWSE and TPEx since 2011. Among those achievements are clinching two consecutive first places in the 2018 and 2019 TWSE awards for Circulation of Securities Award: Law Firms Category, and the 2023 Capital Market Contribution Award from the TWSE.
