Introduction

Mike Lu is the managing partner of Lexcel Partners, with extensive experience in M&A, asset management and mutual funds, securities offerings, corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance for financial institutions. Admitted to practice in both Taiwan and New York, he regularly advises on complex cross-border transactions, fund formation and structuring, corporate governance, and strategic investments, skillfully aligning market practice with evolving regulatory frameworks and enforcement trends.

Lu plays an active role in legal policy development, leading and participating in government-commissioned projects and law reform initiatives, particularly in the areas of corporate governance, capital markets, and asset management regulation. He is frequently invited to publish on emerging legal and financial issues, and as a speaker at professional forums and executive programmes, sharing practical insights with directors, senior executives, and industry professionals. He currently serves as director of the Taipei Bar Association and chairman of its Commercial Law Committee.

He has been consistently recognised as a leading practitioner in Taiwan by prominent international legal publishers. Lu holds an LLB from National Taiwan University, LLM degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and New York University, and a Master’s degree in law from National Chengchi University.
