Introduction
Lily Kuo is a partner in Lee and Li’s real estate, M&A, and corporate and investment practice groups. She prioritises achieving the optimal balance between robust legal protection and cost efficiency for every client.
A distinguishing feature of Kuo’s practice is her ability to integrate deep expertise in both real estate and M&A. This dual proficiency allows her to navigate complex hybrid transactions and internal restructuring projects, including the intricate labour-related matters that accompany them, with a holistic and strategic perspective. She regularly advises domestic and international clients on corporate investment, corporate governance, compliance and cross-border deals (including hotel management and franchising). Her comprehensive practice spans the full spectrum of industries, ranging from traditional manufacturing and retail (including luxury brands) to high-tech and logistics.

- PE funds’ acquisitions of data centre sites; Coupang’s expansion in Taiwan (fulfillment of centre leases and construction); Microsoft’s land acquisitions; FedEx’s lease in the Farglory Free Trade Zone; Hsin Kuang Steel’s logistics complex leases; and establishing INNOViON’s facility in Hsinchu.

In the construction sector, Kuo assists clients in drafting and negotiating EPC, construction, and PCM contracts. She also handles ancillary documents, such as guarantees, subcontracts and maintenance agreements, while considering market practices and the full lifecycle of each project.
In addition, Kuo supports clients in emerging sectors such as video games, AI, e-commerce and fintech. She also advises major internet companies, working closely with them to establish a presence as well as expand in Taiwan and navigate complex regulatory compliance.
