Introduction
Joseph Tay leads Bayfront Law’s commercial disputes team, and his practice is focused on Supreme Court litigation and international arbitration.
With more than 17 years of dedicated experience, Tay is the advocate of choice among insiders, and is consistently praised by clients, peers and opponents alike. He is highly distinguished for his ability to secure successful outcomes in unprecedented and complex cases, many of which have been publicly reported and commentated on.
Tay’s expertise includes M&A and JV disputes, shareholder and director disputes, trade and commercial disputes, corporate real estate disputes, restructuring and insolvency proceedings, freezing order injunctions, infrastructure and construction disputes, financial conspiracy disputes, and banking and securities disputes.
He serves as an arbitrator on the panels of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and as an adjudicator of construction disputes. Tay also serves as a neutral evaluator with the Law Society of Singapore.
