Introduction
Christopher Chuah is a leading construction and dispute resolution practitioner with more than three decades of experience across Singapore and the region. He brings clear strategic judgement and deep sector knowledge to major infrastructure, energy and commercial development work, and has acted on significant cross-border matters in the Maldives, Thailand and Indonesia, as well as large public-sector and education developments in Singapore.
He has appeared in influential cases shaping construction law, including landmark appellate decisions on adjudication and complex building-defects disputes. Alongside practice, Chuah has made substantial contributions to the development of Singapore’s construction law literature. He has authored and led commentaries on the Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract, the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act, the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act, and the REDAS Design and Build Conditions, and has long served as editor of key construction adjudication and construction law reviews.
Chuah is widely recognised in major international legal publications for his expertise in construction and arbitration.
