Introduction

Naufal Fileindi is a partner at GHP Law Firm and heads the firm’s TMT, data privacy and IP practice group. His main expertise includes TMT, data privacy, corporate M&A, natural resources and commercial litigation.

Fileindi has played a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the firm’s digital technology and IP practice since joining our team. With over a decade of experience in the digital technology sector, he has consistently refined, broadened, and imparted his expertise to both our team and our clients.

Under his stewardship, the TMT practice group of the firm has been recognised as one of the leading firms in Indonesia for TMT and data privacy all the while receiving multiple recognition from various publications. Fileindi has also received recognition individually as a leading TMT lawyer in Asia in multiple occasions and publications, and secured a position in Asia’s 40 under 40 in 2023 in a separate publication.

Among Fileindi’s achievements are his contributions to the corporate restructuring of Beautyhaul, a prominent Indonesian beauty company, in connection with its series B funding. He also played a pivotal role in the group restructuring of Noice, a leading Indonesian audio platform, in its corporate investment. Fileindi showcased his legal acumen in facilitating the acquisition of a leading global lubricant company by Repsol, and contributed to Hainan Rubber Group’s acquisition of Halcyon Group, which boasts 19 latex processing factories in Indonesia.

Additionally, Fileindi assisted a major music company in reviewing its commercial contracts catalogue. Helping to identify gaps in ensuring contracts remain applicable amid Indonesia’s evolving music industry landscape. He is also engaged in multiple data privacy matters, including assisting the Indonesian subsidiary of a major Chinese mobile phone manufacturing company and a leading Indonesian aquaculture company in their internal data protection assessment.

Beyond his legal engagements, Fileindi is committed in expanding the impact of Legal 1O1, a pioneering digital legal initiative he founded, in elevating legal literacy in Indonesia.
