Since 1975, he has lectured at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, and has also contributed academically to Universitas Gadjah Mada, shaping generations of legal minds.
His public service extends into diplomacy and civil society. From 2018 to 2023, he represented Indonesia as ambassador to Norway and ?Iceland, strengthening bilateral relations and advancing Indonesia’s international presence. Earlier in his career, he played a vital role in civil society, serving as chairman of Indonesia Corruption Watch and as director of the Jakarta Legal Aid Institute (LBH Jakarta).
Academically accomplished, Lubis?has an LLM?from Harvard Law School and a PhD?from the University of California, Berkeley.
