Introduction

Rio Lassatrio is a co-founder and managing partner of LHBM Counsel, where he advises national and multinational clients on complex corporate, capital markets, construction, and commercial litigation matters. His practice includes extensive involvement in cross border transactions and disputes, with experience advising on matters involving both Indonesian and international elements.

With more than 15 years of experience, Rio is recognised for delivering commercially focused and strategically grounded advice on high profile and multi-jurisdictional matters, representing clients in sophisticated transactions and disputes conducted both locally and internationally.

Lassatrio’s international perspective is reinforced by his LLM?degree from the University of Queensland and his ongoing contribution to the World Bank Group’s Doing Business project, through which he engages with comparative regulatory and investment frameworks. In addition to his legal practice, he serves as a member of the audit committee of Graha Layar Prima, an Indonesia-based cinema operator that manages and operates the CGV Cinemas theatre chain, where he oversees compliance related matters.

He has been named one of Indonesia’s Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal?for six consecutive years (2020-25) and was recognised as Indonesia’s Rising Star by Asian Legal Business in 2019. He?is a member of member of the Indonesian Bar Association (Peradi), a member of the Financial Sector Legal Consultants Association (Himpunan Konsultan Hukum Sektor Keuangan/HKHSK) and is registered as a legal consultant with the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK).
