Introduction

Pramudya Oktavinanda, widely known as Pram, is the managing partner of UMBRA – Strategic Legal Solutions and one of Indonesia’s most distinguished legal minds. Renowned for his rare combination of legal mastery, commercial instincts, and strategic creativity, Pram has established himself as the counsel of choice for the most complex and high-stakes transactions in the region.

During?the course of a career spanning two decades, Pram has advised leading governmental, local?and international clients across the full spectrum of corporate and transactional law. His practice encompasses mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs; debt and corporate restructuring; capital markets transactions — including public offerings under Rule 144A/Reg S of the US Securities Act of 1933; project development and financing in both conventional and shariah?structures; TMT product development and regulatory compliance; public policy and government relations; and estate planning for conglomerates and family-owned business groups. To date, Pram has closed more than 300 transactions with a combined value exceeding USD125 billion.

Pram holds a JD?from the University of Chicago Law School, with academic training in law and?economics, legal interpretation, and Islamic law. His sectoral expertise spans telecommunications, broadcasting, digital and emerging technology — including blockchain, IoT, and over-the-top media services — as well as data analytics, energy and renewables, infrastructure, and state-owned enterprises.

In November 2017, Pram founded UMBRA, building it from a three-lawyer practice into one of Indonesia’s top five law firms by headcount, with more than?70 fee earners. UMBRA is widely regarded as the fastest-growing and most decorated young law firm in the history of the Indonesian legal industry.

Pram is consistently recognised as the youngest Indonesian lawyer to have received the greatest number of accolades from leading international legal directories.
