Introduction

Ignatius Andy graduated cum laude in 1992 from Parahyangan Catholic University and started his legal career at Makarim & Taira S concentrating on commercial dispute resolutions and corporate commercial matters. He joined Hadiputranto Hadinoto & Partners (HHP), the correspondent office of Baker McKenzie in Jakarta, in 1996 in the banking and finance practice group.??He later played a significant role in the establishment and leadership of HHP’s litigation practice group and became a partner in 2001.

In July 2004, Andy established Ignatius Andy Law Offices (IALO), which has been recognised as a prominent boutique law firm in Indonesia for years. IALO has grown substantially due to the rapid expansion of its legal services and client base. IALO focuses its practice on antitrust issues, dispute resolution, as well as corporate and commercial matters. IALO’s dispute resolution and corporate commercial services include domestic and international as well as complex civil and commercial proceedings, bankruptcy, suspension of payment, business competition judicial proceedings, domestic and international arbitration, debt restructuring, and corporate and commercial transactions.

Currently, Andy is listed as an arbitrator at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), the Indonesian Arbitration and Mediation Centre (PAMI) and the Borneo International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (BICAM).
