Introduction

Jose Herrera is a partner and founder of Herrera and Partners H&P in Thailand. He has a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Granada and a postgraduate diploma in international trade. He has a double nationality, Spanish and Argentinian, and has previously worked in jurisdictions such as Malaysia, Poland and Spain. It is important to highlight his credentials by having worked for institutions such as the University in California in United States, Santander Bank, BBVA and World Bank, along with his work with the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) and his close relationship with different governments. In the past he was involved in the free trade agreement between Chile and Thailand and his firm was appointed as the legal consultant of the country of Mexico in Thailand. He has been described as a notable lawyer, a strong leader in the Thai legal sector and the most influential Spanish speaking lawyer in Asia.
