Introduction
Jeff Leong is a founding partner of Jeff Leong, Poon & Wong, recognised as one of Malaysia’s Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal’s A-List and listed in The Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for Corporate and M&A. With 38 years of legal experience, Leong is a trusted advisor in heavily regulated industries, known for his expertise in handling IPOs, M&As and other complex and high-stakes matters. He designed Malaysia’s capital market due diligence system in 1999 and continues to contribute to its evolution.
Leong also lectures part-time at Kobe University and leads the firm’s Japan and China services groups. Additionally, he is an accredited mediator with the Malaysia International Mediation Centre and several other mediation institutions in China.
