Anli Partners has hired a second arbitration specialist, John Liu, to bolster the Shanghai team, which comes around two months after former JunHe partner Chen Luming joined the same office in May.
Liu, a former senior partner at AllBright Law Offices with 20 years of experience, joins Anli’s Shanghai team as a partner and will practice in Beijing as well. He specialises in domestic and international commercial litigation and arbitration, as well as the internet and compliance fields.
E-commerce and video platform operators have appointed him as counsel to handle cases involving large-scale unfair competition, intellectual property, commercial, and labour issues. His clients had also sought his advice on enforcing China judgments abroad.
Liu is currently an arbitrator at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Asian International Arbitration Centre, and dozens of domestic arbitration centres.
