Akshat Bhatnagar has joined Kochhar & Co as a partner in its corporate practice at the Gurgaon office and three team members will also join him.
Associates Vireman Singh Chauhan, Arya Utkarshni and Bhanu Chaudhary will be assisting Bhatnagar as they focus on the firm’s capabilities in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Most recently, Bhatnagar led the corporate practice at the India alliance of the international law firm Kaden Boriss, advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and cross-border transactions across the EU, US, and Asia-Pacific regions. Bhatnagar has more than 17 years of experience, having held senior in-house roles, including general counsel positions at both the Ibibo Group and CP Wholesale India, after he began his career at Reliance Industries as a legal consultant.
