Malaysian firm Adnan Sundra & Low has strengthened its dispute resolution practice with the addition of partners Sudharsanan Thillainathan, Dawn Wong and Tania Edward.
Putri Norlisa Najib, joint managing partner at Adnan Sundra & Low, told Asia Business Law Journal the move aligns with the firm’s expansion plan to enhance its existing capabilities with specialist areas. “We consider this to be an important step towards diversifying our talent pool not only to provide an even wider range of services to our clients but specifically to also cater for the unique needs of an increasingly more complex deal environment,” said Najib.
Thillainathan, who brings more than 25 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, specialises in domestic and international arbitration across multiple industries.
He brought with him his team from the Malaysian firm Steven Thiru & Sudhar Partnership, which he co-headed with Steven Thiruneelakandan.
His team includes partners Wong and Edward, senior associate Yee Lin Ng, and associates Bala Ravi Sankar and Lee Jing Long.
Wong and Edward were partners at Steven Thiru & Sudhar Partnership for more than six years. Before that, in 2015, Edward was with Shook Lin & Bok Malaysia.
In June last year, Adnan Sundra & Low expanded its capabilities by welcoming a five-member IP team from Christopher & Lee Ong.
